Privacy Policy

The short version. You upload your course outlines so TermTrack can pull out your deadlines. Your files and your plan are yours. They aren't sold, they aren't shared with other users, and you can delete them whenever you want. Email adamelkalza@gmail.com and it gets handled.
Who runs this
TermTrack is built and operated by Adam Elkalza, an independent student developer in Ontario, Canada. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to any university. For any privacy question, or to ask for a copy of your data or have it deleted, email adamelkalza@gmail.com.
What gets collected

Nothing else is asked for. No student number, no grades, no phone number, no address, no payment details. There is no advertising on TermTrack and no tracking pixels or advertising cookies.
What it is used for
Your uploads and your plan are used to give you your plan. That's it. Specifically, they are never:
- sold, rented, or traded to anyone
- shared with your university, your instructors, or other students
- used to build a profile of you for advertising
- published or shown to other users of TermTrack
Anonymous, aggregate numbers may be looked at to understand whether the thing works, for example how many uploads finish successfully. That kind of counting never involves reading your material.
Who else touches your data
TermTrack is a small app built on a few standard services. Each one only sees what it needs to do its job.

Because these providers operate outside Canada, your information may be stored or processed in other countries, including the United States, and may be subject to the laws of those countries. Using TermTrack means you're okay with that.
How long it is kept
Your account and your saved plan stay until you delete them, because that's the point of saving them. Uploaded files and the plans built from them are kept while your account is active. Error logs are short-lived and get cleared out routinely.
If you delete your account, your uploads and your plan are deleted too. If TermTrack ever shuts down, you'll get notice at the email on your account and a window to export anything you want to keep.
Your choices
Under Canadian privacy law, including PIPEDA, you can ask for these at any time and they'll be honoured:
- See it. Get a copy of what's stored about you.
- Fix it. Correct anything that's wrong.
- Delete it. Remove specific uploads, or your whole account.
- Ask questions. Find out how any part of this works.
Email adamelkalza@gmail.com and expect a reply within 30 days, usually much sooner. There's no charge.
Security
Traffic runs over HTTPS. Access to stored data is restricted so your records aren't readable by other users. Passwords are handled by the authentication provider and are not visible to TermTrack.
Being straight with you: this is a small project run by one student, not a company with a security team. Reasonable care is taken, but no service can promise perfect security. Don't upload anything you'd be seriously upset to have exposed, and there's no reason to put sensitive personal information into a course outline anyway.
Cookies
TermTrack uses only what's needed to keep you signed in and remember your session. There are no advertising cookies and no third-party tracking cookies.
Age
TermTrack is meant for post-secondary students and is not directed at children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has created an account, email the address above and it will be removed.
Changes
If this policy changes in a way that matters, the date at the top gets updated and, where the change is significant, account holders are notified by email. Continuing to use TermTrack after a change means you accept the updated policy.
Complaints
If you aren't satisfied with how a privacy concern was handled, you can contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada at priv.gc.ca.
